A BLANKSTONE CHANEL CHRISTMAS TALE

There’s nothing better to get you into a luxuriously festive mood than watching a Chanel catwalk show. Virginie Viard has become famous for hosting the Chanel Métiers d’Art show every year, and this December it took place in Dakar. The 70’s influences were major, and all of the Chanel touches we know and love were there – camellias, pearls, jewelled buttons and shimmering sequins all added a touch of glamour. And the eyewear? It was just sublime.

As Chanel is the brand of the season at Blankstone, it seemed only right to look both back, and to the future, when it comes to talking about fashion’s most beloved label. It’s been quite the year already for the French fashion house – never before has Chanel been more covetable. Every penny you invest in anything by Chanel doesn’t just pay you back in style, but also in value. And the accessory of the season? It has to be the Chanel welly, or The Chanellington, as it’s become known.

And wearing Chanel in the world of the fabulous and famous? For classic Chanel style, we always look to brand ambassador Penelope Cruz, who has worn Chanel on so many red carpets during her own award-winning year. From signature tweed suiting, to black sequins, to luxury hippie in ultimate Chanel aviators, she is everything we love about this label.

Hands up if you are coping with the festive season whilst binge-watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Dorit Kelmsley is always eye-catching and puts so much thought into her look. We asked our very own Gill to pick out her fave last-minute Chanel gift for under the tree, and she picked the Chanel 5421 sunglasses. As always, Chanel is a huge part of Blankstone: it’s the label the chic-conscious head to as soon as they enter through those welcoming doors.
