For over seven decades you have worked for us, looked over us, led us, and done all of it with style, grace and elegance.

You will be sorely missed, and you set us all a remarkable example of how to be of service.
Your life has simply been interwoven into all of our worlds – our own grandparents, and parents, now our children and grandchildren.

We love this picture of you – you were always at your happiest at the races. And we are so proud that your long term dresser and confidante, Angela, is from our home city. We hope she brought a bit of our humour to you.

Thank you for so many wonderful memories.

And, perhaps, your final lesson was that it really is quite classy to keep a marmalade sandwich in your handbag.
